Hi, I'm Tabitha and I’m passionate about helping you feel better through the transformative nature of a somatic therapy called Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy (PRYT). My journey to get here was deeply personal and continues to fuel my Why for offering this work.
Being raised by a single father who struggled with alcohol addiction and his own unresolved trauma left me with my fair share of emotional challenges that I knew in my heart, I simply had to move through to get ‘the good stuff’ of life. I pursued traditional talk therapy, and even went on to earn a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. However, my personal and professional experience showed me that talking alone simply wasn't enough. When I discovered PRYT it not only transformed my life, it offered me another way to support others toward emotional freedom, so I obviously went on to get certified in it ;)
And for the past ten years, I've had the honor of helping others navigate their healing journeys. My approach blends yoga philosophy, mindfulness, positive psychology, open dialogue, restorative yoga postures, and somatic exercises - and honors each individual's unique experiences, wisdom, and needs.
My mission is to support you in developing stronger resilience and emotional regulation. There is no way to erase the past but I'm here to provide a safe, nurturing space where you can step away from your thinking mind and explore your life experiences somatically - and ultimately cultivate more emotional freedom moving forward. Whether you choose one-on-one therapy sessions, my self guided Somatic Alchemy online course, or private yoga sessions, my focus is on guiding you in building inner strength and a deeper sense of well-being.
